'Tis the Season of Tulips

Hello there! Happy Spring!! 🌷🌷🌷

I cannot tell you how extremely elated I feel writing this…………….because it means that I am FINALLY FREE FROM THE SHACKLES OF THE NCIDQ!

What, you ask, in the world is the NCIDQ? Don’t worry, you’re not alone, nobody else knows either!

The NCIDQ stands for the National Council for Interior Design Qualification and is the certifying body in the world of Interior Design. To have your NCIDQ certification means that you are educated, experienced, and possess the credentials to contribute as an Interior Designer to the built environment - residentially and commercially - while protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of it’s inhabitants and the general public. Whew!

Basically, it is a series of exams that authenticate you as a CERTIFIED DESIGNER!!!!

Pretty badass, right????

More to come on all of that, but more importantly this also means I’ve been studying for months on end - desperately and diligently - and now, alas, I am free! Say whaaaaa - and it feels SO GOOD!!!!!!

Even better, it timed out perfectly because I am closing my books right as Spring is reaching full bloom. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the flowers are ENGULFING, and as you could imagine I am happy as a clam.

The first thing I did the day after it was all over was high-tale it to fields of flowers that I just hear calling my name. It’s a place I’d heard of but never been, such a splendid little festival in Oregon’s Willamette Valley - The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival.

I present you, friends, with one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.

come away with me

miles & miles of flowers!

It was the perfect day and everything I needed! Open heart, open fields, and such a feeling of freedom.

Excited to be able to share again and excited for all this summer has in store.

Happy adventuring - I’ll see you sooOooOoon!!
